I got involved with the Aegisub project somewhere around alpha 0.25 (late August 2005), as the first dedicated alpha tester and the first non-founding member of the team - mostly because I knew AMZ somewhat and he saw some typesetting insanity of mine on an (still unreleased) episode of Azumanga Daioh. I later got roped into writing documentation and stuff.

[edit] Things I'm (in)famous for

  • Reporting more VFR-related bugs than anyone would ever want to hear about (for the longest time, AMZ would threaten to kill me if I mentioned "vfr.cpp" and "bug" in the same hour)
  • Participating in endless flamewars about h264, the CCCP codec pack, (lack of) ethics and DRM on Anime-Suki and elsewhere
  • Having no ethics and being a notorical warez pirate, as well as a member of the Swedish organization Piratbyrån (The Piracy Agency)
